Found a dragon hiding in my lacy Japanese maple…though I didn’t see him until he blinked! Haha, OK, that’s a lie. I made this dragon, his name is Atrox, from the scientific name of the diamondback rattlesnake. Fortunately, he doesn’t bite! This isn’t the first time I’ve worked with this scale-printed fabric, but I think it’s been one of the more successful dragons I’ve made with it. Making the wings out of fleece fabric make them look more membrane-like (not covered with the same scales that the body is covered with).
